DICKSTERLAND

One of Leonardo da Vinci's proverbs goes something like this: It is easier for a 'man' to kill a thousand of his enemies than to vanquish himself. 'Men' sometimes need to undertake a long voyage in order to find the 'meaning of life'. Dickster's World is not far from yours. If you take the right wrong turn, you will find it. Dickster needs you… D wants you to… D'd LOVE you to…help Him find His way back. Give D the feedback He deserves! Go a-head, give it to Him!

THE D IS OUT!

It's official. The 14th of March, the eve of the ides, the CCC launched 'Dickster' into the world, and we had a great time. The lecture hall was full, and the fans were amusingly curious, prying for answers that could have gotten me eliminated like D.

Here's the info that was divulged thanks to J-P King of the Raîche, acting as master of ceremonies.

-They obviously wanted to know if The Meaty Monster was as gynormous as D had pertained it to be: roughly 5% of his body weight! My answer was an affirmative, noting also the symbolics behind it: how it shunned out the rest of his life.

-I also had to just the language and content of the book that can be vulgar and shocking at times: like life is always a pleasant stroll through the park! It was also a strategy of his that is exploited by great authors or film directors, like Alejandro Jodorosky and Guillermo Arriaga.

-They wanted to know how he died. You, who's been following the blog since the beginning should know that!

-How did D and I meet? I was doing an article for the seedy 'people' Canadian press on 'les folles nuits parisiennes', many years ago. D was part of it. (I'm being very blunt, but I can't get into all the D-tails that went into the one hour interview.

-I read some extracts from the book, including a mysterious manuscript I'd found in his bag. From the looks of it, it seemed to belong to 3D: its syle was radically different from 1D.

-All in all, what came out of the jovial interrogation was D's oh-so-unusual spiritual path that was a spicy blend of Austin Powers, Trainspotting, Inspector Cluzeau, with Rocco Siffredi and Gandhi battling it out for the leading role!

You should have been there!

Then when had drinks, and I signed a bunch of books.

The perfect evening!
